16mm Film
100 Foot Film SeriesI began the hundred-foot film series as a creative exercise, wondering how the limitations of film as a medium impact my storytelling ability. Pushing back against the instant gratification of digital filmmaking, I explore travelogues, stop motion, and collaborative filmmaking. Over time, I have come to see this series as a reflection on the role of the storyteller. By shooting sequentially with a single role of film, it becomes a test of the storyteller's memory and vision. With only 100 feet, and with no ability to view acquired footage, the storyteller relies on the mental landscape alone.

Analogue Intermediate Film SeriesThis series is a modern re-creation of classic Thomas Edison kinetoscope films from the 1890s. While created digitally, the images are printed to film and hand-processed; as part of the Analog Intermediate Video Installation, these films were then shown digitally on an enlarged kinetoscope operated by an arcade button. As such, these films consider how the changing technological landscape of acquisition and distribution has influenced the way people view films.
